Delphi Technologies helps garages boost efficiency with the launch of a full-service solution for a faster steering service
One box with all the parts needed for a best-practice, OE quality repair
New approach to fast, efficient steering repair follows rigorous 12-month analysis of OE best practice
New solution will boost garage efficiency by saving time and money
FRANKFURT, GERMANY – 11 September 2018 – Delphi Technologies is enhancing its aftermarket steering portfolio with an extended repair solution, offering technicians all the accessories needed to install the part, in the same box as the replacement component. By supplying the main part and fitting kit in the same box, garages will be able to offer a quick, reliable and professional steering service. As well as ensuring a best-practice, longer-lasting repair to OE standards, the tailor-made package offers greater garage efficiencies, since the individual components will not have to be identified and ordered separately.
“Over the past 12 months, we’ve analysed hundreds of OE samples, looking at what they contain and how they are used by garages,” explains Neil Fryer, vice president, Global Marketing, Product and Strategy, Delphi Technologies Aftermarket. “Our conclusion is that convenience and speed are top priorities, as wasting time ordering extra parts or, even worse, having to stop and restart a repair due to accessories not being on hand, costs time and money. By providing the main component, together with the fitting kit in one box, garages will be able to fit fast to OE standards, increasing both customer satisfaction and profitability.”
As well as ensuring the right parts are included, Delphi’s quality-focused approach means that each of these have been engineered to exacting OE specifications, even down to the nuts and bolts.
“When it comes to safety critical components such as steering, fitting a high-quality part is essential,” adds Fryer. “That’s why every one of our steering parts undergoes rigorous dimension, material, durability and performance tests. So whether it’s a control arm, or the bolt that holds that arm in place, we know it will perform just like the OE.”
In addition to ensuring technicians have what they need for a professional service, the company is committed to making the latest parts available within the shortest possible timeframes following vehicle launch, with more than 500 new steering parts added in the past 12 months.
